A small islet of 4.8 hectares off the north-east coast, 6.4 km from Vila Baleira. It belongs to the same protected set as the other islets: the Porto Santo network of marine protected areas and the Natura 2000 site PTPOR0001. It serves as a nesting site for the archipelago's seabirds.
