Jardim da Avenida Infante D. Henrique

Vila Baleira's green space: an avenue of palms running down to the old pier, dragon trees, bougainvillea. It holds the bust of Christopher Columbus, the statue of Prince Henry and that of the Barqueiro, which honours the people of Porto Santo who put to sea to break the island's isolation. A small playground occupies one corner. The walk continues to the end of the Cais Velho, facing the bay.
